I haven't been going on Pinterest much lately, but when I've had the time I've spotted so pretty darn cute pins. I've seen a lot of colour co-ordinated book shelves lately, and that one up there is pretty on point! I really love the fur screensaver on that iMac, I need to find something like this to dress up my desktop too. Those black cabinets pretty much speak for themselves, as does the relaxing living room to the left. And major shoe lust right there!
It's funny because I've never been a fan of black sneakers, or majority white ones either, and I purchased a pair that is pretty much black. I originally went in looking for the purple and red ones, but they didn't have any at all so I settled on this pair. I like how the white breaks all the black and doesn't make it look heavy and bulky.
They're super flexible and so light weight! I took them for their first run on the treadmill tonight and they fit like a glove and are really comfortable. I'm looking forward to taking them out on casual occasions with leggings too. Having small feet definitely has its perks, these are from the youth sizing range and I saved $57 compared to buying from the women's range ($80 vs $137, both on sale)!

When I was in Wellington I managed to pick up a few new things, some needs and some wants. Everything in moderation right? Firstly at Lush I brought the 'Tea Tree Water' toner and a little baby 'Charity Pot'. I love the concept behind the 'Charity Pot' so I brought the little tub for when I get dry shins and the 'Tea Tree Water' toner to try out instead of my usual 'Simple' toner.
I experienced my first Lululemon store and I managed to snag this 'energy bra' and I'm now eyeing it up in 'secret garden / black'. The whole experience was so laid back and the ladies in there were so helpful and lovely! I'd been eyeing that cute little striped purse by Citta Design for a wee while, so I whipped into IkoIko to get my mitts on it. I've been in need of a pencil case to house a couple pens, my pigment liners and mechanical pencils, and this is perfect. I'm loving gold at the moment (ahem, by current blog design) so the gold tassel really drew me in.
Out of need, I brought yet another magazine to drool over (this is fast becoming an obsession), and a more extensive set of colouring pencils at Whitcoulls with 30% off. Colouring pencils can get pretty pricey so I was happy to get them at a reduced price. And last but not least I brought the fluffiest and cosiest robe / jersey for lounging around home in from Cotton On. It's literally like a blanket and once you have it on, you never want to take it off.
It was such a lovely day and my new purchases sure did help put a little more spring in my step.

New Nike Free Run 5.0's
I've been wanting to 'invest' in a new pair of running shoes for a wee while now and I finally took the plunge. My current (or now retired) New Balance running shoes were starting to feel a little tight so I was destined for new shoes. I've loved the casual look of the Nike Free Runs, and since I want a pair that can double up as casual shoes for the weekend I settled on this pair, and i'm glad I did.

Wellington Haul

Wellington
Last Friday my sister and I finally got around to getting on the train and exploring Wellington again (I've lost count of the amount of train trips we've taken there, oops). I only have class Monday - Thursday so Friday is the perfect day to kick back and explore. Our breakfast was long awaited and worth the wait. I indulged in a lemon crumble muffin and a white chocolate mocha, while my sister treated herself to a chocolate chip muffin and hot chocolate!
I love how compact Wellington is as a city. You can be in the heart of the city and on the waterfront in a heartbeat, and take on the city by foot. I'm in so much love with the new Glassons and Hallensteines store, the store front is way too pretty!
We lucked out and got the windy city on a beautiful autumn day. It can be a little dicey planning ahead when you don't live near. Nothing beats Wellington on a beautiful day!
We enjoyed the sea breeze down by the waterfront and I finally tried my first 'Passion Shaken Iced Tea Lemonade' and it was worth every cent.
I think Peter Alexander has the best store entry in Wellington, how can you resist walking through those massive pink doors! We also hit up Lululemon for the first time! It recently opened in the old Glassons store on Lambton Quay and I just wanted to buy everything. I did manage to snag a sports bra with the best criss cross straps and I now want it in every colour.
A caramel frappuccino for the ride home after an exhausting day on our feet. Venti? Yes please! I can't believe we walked a crazy 14.26km walking around the city, that's a crazy amount.
After a long day of walking around it was so lovely to relax on the train home and capture the beautiful scenery. You can count on us going back soon, so here's to more excursions in the future!
Autumn Favourites
Since autumn's coming to a close, I thought I would post some of my favourites from the current season, my take on monthly favourites. I can't believe how fast this year has speed on by! I only have around four weeks of studying left before being let out into the big old world. I'm not sure which direction / discipline I want to practice in the real world but most definitely something in the Interior Design industry. I'm in so much love with my blog design at the moment. I did have a more elaborate and beautiful header but I feel it would detract from my photos too much so I decided to pare it back a little.
New layout, new URL and fresh clean pages. I can't wait to start filling this blog up.
